Fernando and I spent this afternoon in the Spanish city of Aranjuez. We are in Madrid until Tuesday and we wanted to do something different (we've both been to Madrid many times). I have to say, I was more than amazed with the city! We sat eating lunch with views of the palace and then carried on taking a tour of the inside. Unfortunately, they did not allow photos...but it was absolutely spectacular! Everything was covered in gold, crystal, fine fabrics and porcelain. My eyes didn't know where to look! Then we visited the gardens of the palace, which were HUGE! We walked about 15km just sight seeing (my poor legs). Everything was so beautiful that I can't wait to go back to see it all again. I would recommend visiting Aranjuez to anyone travelling in the Madrid area.

Fernando y yo pasamos este tarde en la Espanola ciudad de Aranjuez. Estamos en Madrid hasta el martes y hemos querido hacer algo diferente (hemos estado en Madrid muchas veces). Necesito decir que me ha asombrado la ciudad! Nos sentamos para comer con vistas del palacio y despues hemos tenido un tour dentro del palacio. Desafortunadamente, no permiten fotos...Pero era absolutamente espectacular! Todo es cubierto en oro, cristales, seda y porcelana. Mis ojos no sabian donde mirar! Mas tarde hemos visitado los jardines, y son ENORMES! Hemos caminado 15km (mis pobres piernas). Todo era tan bonito que yo quiero ir otra vez. Recomiendo visitar Aranjuez a todas las personas viajando en el area de Madrid.
