Black Out | Jerez, Spain - The Ivory Diary

Today Mona and I took photos and then carried on to the gym. It's starting to get easier but I honestly don't think I'll ever enjoy going. I'm jealous of all of you who love to exercise! What's your secret?!

Now Fernando and I are waiting for it to cool down outside so we can walk Sadie and then check out the Feria del Caballo (Festival of Horses). Since we moved here, everyone has been talking about this 'feria'. I didn't really know what to expect, so I brushed it off as some Spanish tradition I knew nothing about. Now that the feria has started, I can see why everyone loves it so much! There is a HUGE park full of little houses and tents run by different restaurants and bars around the city. Most women are dressed in the typical 'Sevillana Flamenco' style. Everyone is dancing to live flamenco music, drinking and eating all day and night. THOUSANDS of people come to Jerez to visit the feria which goes on all week. There is also a big area with a carnival full of rides, treats and little shops. It's so amazing that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis even checked it out last year! I will try to go at least a few times this week, and I will make sure I have a blog post showing you what it's like.

Hoy Mona y yo tomamos fotos y despues fuimos al gimnasio. Es mas facil que antes pero creo que no lo disfrutare nunca. Estoy celosa de los que os gusta el ejercicio! Cual es el secreto?!

Ahora Fernando y yo estamos esperando que el tiempo este mas fresco a fin de que podamos pasear con Sadie y despues ir a ver la Feria del Caballo. Desde que nos mudamos aqui, la gente habla de la feria. No sabia que esperar, entoces he pensado que es una tradicion espanola de la que no se nada. Ahora es feria y entiendo porque a la gente le encanta! Hay un parque ENORME lleno de casitas de los bares y restaurantes de Jerez. Las mujeres se visten en vestidos del estilo Sevillana. Todos estan bailando musica flamenco, bebiendo y comiendo todo el dia y noche. Miles de personas vienen a Jerez para visitar la feria que se celebra durante una semana. Tambien hay una area grande con montanas rusas, dulces y tiendas. Es tan increible que Ashton Kutcher y Mila Kunis lo han visitado el ultimo ano! Voy a intentar ir unas pocas veces esta semana y voy a tomar fotos para el blog para mostraros como es!
