Feria de Caballo | Jerez, Spain

Last week was the Feria de Caballo in Jerez. I'd have to say it's my favourite time of year in the city. The weather is great, the flowers are blooming and the streets are full of people. The best part is the actual Feria (fair or carnival in English). It's a massive park full of bars and restaurants where people comes to eat, drink and dance. Most of the women are dressed in the traditional flamenco dress, so I thought I would dress up too! A lot of the dresses are handmade so you never see the same dress twice. It's really beautiful to just sit and watch the people dancing or walking. Like a little flamenco fashion show! There is also an enormous part of the Feria with treats, rides and shops. I can't help but buy the cotton candy a few times every year. Delicious!

La semana pasada habia la Feria de Caballo aqui en Jerez. Puedo decir que es mi tiempo favorito del ano en la ciudad. Las flores han llegado, las calles estan llenas de gente y el tiempo esta genial. La mejor parte es el parque del Feria. Es un parque enorme con muchos bares y restaurantes donde la gente pueden comer, beber y bailar. La mayoria de las mujeres visten en los trajes de gitana, pues este ano queria participar y llevar uno tambien! Un gran parte de los vestidos son hecho a mano pues no veis dos vestidos iguales. Es muy bonito sentarte y mirar la gente bailando o paseando dentro de la Feria. Es como una pasarela de flamenco! Tambien hay una parte de atracciones muy grande con montanas rusas, chuches y tiendas. No puedo pararme de comer unos nubes de azucar. Delicioso!
