Sunburn Relief | Jerez, Spain

It probably comes as no surprise that I get sunburnt very easily. I had to be careful in the sun even while living in Canada, but living here is another story. The sun here is so strong. My first sunburn this year happened back in March!

Of course, it's best to avoid sunburns by using sunscreen, long sleeves/pants, staying in the shade, etc. But unfortunately, sometimes it just can't be helped. A few weekends ago Fernando played in a tennis tournament and I was out in the sun for a short while before moving to the shade. Within 20 minutes I was red! So today I want to share with you some of my sunburn relief secrets for the times that it's just too late to put on sunscreen.

Me parece que no vais estar sorprendidas saber que quemo por el sol muy facilmente. Cuando vivia en Canada tambien tenia que cuidar, pero viviendo aqui es otra historia. El sol aqui en Espana es muy fuerte. Mi primer quemado este ano estaba en el marzo!

Por supuesto, es mejor evitar los quemados usando crema del sol, mangas largas, estar en la sombra, etc. Pero desafortunadamente, unas veces no podemos escaparlos. Hace unas semanas Fernando jugo en un torneo de tenis y estuve por el sol unos 20 minutos (antes que me mudo por la sombra). Despues de estos 20 minutos estaba totalmente quemada! Pues por esta experiencia que mostrar con vosotras mis secretos para aguantar el tiempo quemado.

As you know, I love Nzuri Organics products. They're so natural, smell great and leave my skin hydrated and smooth. I love keeping a jar of it in the fridge so that when I am sunburnt, the cool lotion is really soothing.

I also love the Avene Eau Thermale spray. It's basically vitamin and mineral infused water that's also meant to sooth the skin. I usually bring this one with my to the beach or carry it my bag throughout the summer. It's super refreshing for hot days when you don't want to actually pour a bottle of water on yourself in public...

Tambien me encanta el Aqua Termal de Avene. Basicamente es un spray que tiene vitaminas para calmar el piel. Normalmente, lo llevo en mi bolso durante verano. Es muy refrescante durante los dias caloroso cuando no puedes volcar una botella de agua encima de tu cabeza en publico...

When I'm sunburnt one of the first things to dry out are my lips. Whenever that happens, I love using the EOS lip balms! Unfortunately they aren't available in Spain (that I know of), so I usually buy them when I am back visiting Canada. They are really moisturizing and tasty! I also can't help but love the cute little round ball it's in.

Cuando estoy quemada, una de las cosas que esta mas seca estan mis labios. Cuando esto se pasa, uso mi palmada para labios de EOS! Desafortunadamente, no hay en Espana (bueno, ni una vez los veo), pues cuando estoy en Canada, los compro. Son muy hidratantes y sabrosos! Tambien no puedo parar de estar enamorada de su paquete como un bol!
