We're Moving! | Jerez, Spain

It has been nearly 2 years since I moved my life from Canada to Spain. For Fernando's work we had to live in the Cadiz area, and so we settled on the city of Jerez de la Frontera. Both of us in a new city with no connections, friends or family. Looking back, these years have somehow flown by! I started out with no job, blog, friends, sense of the city and WAY less Spanish than I thought I knew. I can say I know this city like the back of my hand and I can finally understand the 'Gaditano' Spanish accent that so intimidated me! Over these two years we have met so many nice and interesting people from here and all over the world. I have made friends and memories that I know I will have forever.

Now it's time to move on. One week from today we are moving to MADRID! I have a lot of mixed emotions about it! I feel happy, sad, excited, scared, etc. I have never lived in a city with morE than 220,000 people, so jumping to a city of 7 million should be an interesting and exciting change! I will try to keep blogging through all the moving and changes, but I'm sorry in advance if things get more sporadic. We will be spending the month of August in Mallorca before heading to Madrid, so there will be some awesome pictures and summer looks coming!

Hemos pasado casi 2 anos desde que me mude desde Canada a Espana. Para el trabajo de Fernando, tuvimos que vivir en la zona de Cadiz, pues elegimos vivir en la cuidad de Jerez de la Frontera. Ni uno de vosotros tenia conecciones, amigos ni familia aqui. Mirando destras, estos anos han volado! Empece aqui sin trabajo, el blog, amigas, un sentido de la cuidad y ademas MUCHO MENOS espanol que he pensado que tenia. Puedo decir que ahora conozco esta cuidad como mi propia mano y puedo entender el acento 'gaditano' que me ha intimidado tanto! Durante esto 2 anos conocimos un monton de gente tan amable y interesante de todo el mundo. Puedo decir que tengo amigas y recuerdos que voy a tener toda mi vida.

Ahora es el tiempo para seguirnos. Una semana desde hoy, vamos a dejar Jerez y mudarnos a MADRID! Tengo una mezcla de emociones. Me siento feliz, triste, tengo miedo y tengo ganas! Nunca vivia en una cuidad con mas gente que 220,000. Vamos a ver como voy a acostumbrarme en una cuidad de 7 milliones! Voy a intentar hacer posts del blog frequentemente durante nuestro tiempo de la mudanza pero puede ser una locura cambiando todo. Lo siento en avance si los posts son esporádicos. Vamos a pasar el mes de agosto entero en Mallorca antes que vamos a Madrid. Podeis esperar unas fotos bonitos con outfits veraniegos muy pronto!
