The Portman Ritz Carlton | Shanghai, China

Today´s post we are flashing back to several weeks ago when we stayed at the fantastic Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai. It was the first stop of our China trip and it left such an amazing impression on us. I have to say it was one of my top experiences in a hotel ever!

We were picked up at the airport in a limo complete with wifi. It was so nice not having to worry about transportation after such a long journey. We were greeted at the door of the hotel by such a kind staff who gave us a tour of some of the rooms (including a fabulous suite where tons of celebrities have stayed!).

We stayed in a suite which boasted a large living room, 2 bathrooms and a huge bedroom. The decorations were modern and elegant with an oriental charm.

The location of the hotel was great. It was in an amazing shopping district with tons of restaurants nearby. We could also easily walk to all the tourist hotspots.

We had access to the Club Level Lounge, which is a private lounge on one of the highest floors of the building. Of course the views were amazing (especially from the comfy sofas). They serve 5 food presentations a day, so you are free to have a snack or a whole meal if you´d like. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there, it was that good!

We were invited to try some of their cocktails in the Ritz Lounge & Bar. I tried their famous award-winning pineapple butter beer (amazing!) as well as several other fruity cocktails. The bar was gorgeous with beautiful furniture and twinkling lights overhead. You can see it in a photo below.

Before checking out we were treated to tea and treats. We had some seriously delicious mini sandwiches and desserts. The tea was also very tasty and in the cutest china set!

I would like to thank all the staff at The Portman Ritz-Carlton for their amazing hospitality! We will definitely be visiting you again!

En el post de hoy voy a recordar nuestra estancia en el fantástico hotel Portman Ritz-Carlton en Shanghai. Fue nuestra primera parada en China y nos impresionó realmente. Debo decir que fue una de mis experiencias hoteleras más top.

Nos recogieron en el aeropuerto en una limusina con servicio wifi. Fue muy cómodo no tener que preocuparse por el transporte tras un viaje tan largo. Nos recibieron muy calurosamente y nos dieron un tour del hotel y de algunas habitaciones (suite presidencial incluida).

Nuestra suite tenía un salón enorme, 2 cuartos de baño y una habitación muy grande. La decoración era moderna y elegante con un toque oriental.

La situación del hotel era perfecta. Situado en el distrito comercial con infinidad de restaurantes muy cerca. También con todos los lugares turísticos a nuestro alcance.

Tuvimos acceso al Club Level Lounge, encuadrada en lo alto del hotel con unas espectaculares vistas. Sirven comida 5 veces al día, pudiendo hacer hasta las tres comidas ahí muy cómodamente, como nosotros hicimos varias veces. Qué rico estaba todo!

Nos invitaron a probar algunos cócteles en la Ritz Lounge & Bar. Probé el famoso pineapple butter beer así como otros a base de frutas. El bar es super bonito con unos muebles de ensueño y luces de diseño.

Antes de hacer la salida nos ofrecieron té y dulces. También sabrosos mini sandwiches y postres. El té sabía fenomenal servido en la porcelana china.

Me gustaría agradecer a todos los empleados del The Portman Ritz-Carlton por hacer de nuestra estancia una experiencia inolvidable. Os visitaremos de nuevo!
