On The Corniche | Abu Dhabi, UAE

I am sitting at home in rainy Luxembourg looking fondly over these photos. Why can´t we have some sun here? In UAE there wasn't a single cloud for weeks and the temperature was just perfect. I loved our time in Abu Dhabi because we really took the chance to relax. We spent one day at the Hiltonia Beach Club on the Corniche (downtown). The view was impressive with the skyscrapers just behind us.

The facility is equipped with several pools, restaurants, gardens and tons of sun-beds. We spent the morning swimming and lounging and then had a delicious lunch at the Escape Cafe. Everything was delicious, but I especially recommend the cheesecake!

In the afternoon we took a nap on the beach. That is one of my favourite things to do on holiday; stuff my face and then sleep! Anyone else?

It got dark around 6:00 but we had dinner reservations for 8:00, so we went across the street to the amazing Marina Mall for a little shopping and then back to dinner at Vasco´s restaurant. We ate on the terrace which was romantically set with little lamps and lanterns. The food was amazing and so was the service.

We would definitely recommend the Hiltonia Beach Club for those looking to have a relaxing day in the sun without leaving the city centre. We can´t wait to go back! Thanks Hiltonia :)
