When in Rome | Rome, Italy - The Ivory Diary

Here are my photos from our trip to Rome! I had been to Rome once before in 2005 but I have to say, I had forgotten (or maybe didn’t appreciate at 16 years old) how AMAZING this city is. We did a panoramic tour of the city so we were able to see the most important historical sites, but I would love to go back for longer to really get to know more of Rome. My favourite parts of the day were: The Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and of course, the pizza (can I say pizza twice? I really liked it). The only problem I had was an unavoidable one, the heat! It was 43 degrees celcius (110 F). Being Canadian, I have NEVER been in that kind of heat, especially walking around in it all day. It really made me miss the snow!

I wore an easy, comfy look which I knew would be better in the heat than my Palermo outfit. The light material and open back of the shirt made it easier to keep cool. Luckily, I brought a hat which unintentionally turned out to be my best friend all day!

Aqui estan mis fotos de nuestro dia en Roma. Fui a Roma una vez en 2005, pero necesito decir que olvide (o alomejor no aprecie con la edad de 16 anos) lo MAGNIFICA que es la cuidad. Hicimos un tour panoramico para ver los monumentos mas importantes. Quiero pasar mas tiempo en Roma para tener la oportunidad de conocer la cuidad mejor. Mis partes favoritas del dia fueron ver El Coliseo, Panteon, Fontana di Trevi y por supuesto, comer pizza (puedo decir la pizza dos veces? Me encanto). El unico problema que tuve fue un problema inevitable, el calor! Fueron 43 grados. Soy Canadiense, nunca en mi vida estuve en este calor. Es una locura pero echaba de menos la nieve!

Llevaba un look muy comodo que sabia que seria mejor en el tiempo caluroso que mi outfit de Palermo. El material ligero y la espalda abierta eran perfectas para mantener una temperatura buena. Por suerte, lleve una gorra que inintencionadamente fue mi mejor amiga todo el dia!
